Snake Plant (Dracaena Trifasciata) aka. Mother-in-Law's Tongue is a low maintenance plant!
-air-purifying, low to bright indirect light, succulent or cactus soil, very small pot with good drainage to start with, water when dry all the way through (about every 2-4 weeks), or don't plant in soil yet; keep in water (in a few months yours could grow it's own pup!)
(two or more leaves)
Pothos (Epipremnum Aureum) is great for beginners!
-hard to kill, low to bright indirect light, standard potting soil when planted, water when the top inch of soil feels dry (about once a week), this plant can take some neglect, but if it's droopy, please water, or don't plant in soil yet; keep in water for a bit (yours could grow more leaves, too.)
Spider Plant (Chlorophytum Comosum) is also great for beginners!
-bright indirect light, standard potting soil when planted, water when the tip inch of soil is dry (about once a week), this plant can also take a little neglect, but be kind, or don't plant in soil yet; keep in water for a bit.
Wandering Dude aka. Wandering Jew, Inch Plant (Tradesscantia Zebrina) is beautiful and a little finicky (it does NOT like water on it's leaves) but don't be too nervous!
-bright indirect light, water when the top inch of soil is slightly dry (about once a week), vining plant, standard to light potting soil, can be trimmed and trimmings can be replanted in same pot to promote a fuller plant, or don't plant in soil yet; keep in water for a bit.
